Cyclades Chamber of Commerce


The Cyclades Chamber of Commerce was established in 1836 and is one of the oldest chambers in the country. Headquartered in Syros and with 7 additional offices and conference rooms in Andros, Milos, Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, Santorini and Tinos islands, it represents and supports 17,500 companies on 24 islands of the prefecture through a variety of initiatives, actions and interventions.

The vast majority of the members are served in person, on the aforementioned eight islands. The activities of the members are divided into five sections:

Tourism, Commerce Manufacturing, Industry and Services.

With an expanded 61 member Board, the Cyclades Chamber of Commerce has achieved the greatest representation in the prefecture.

It consists of the following sections: Registry, Management & Economics, Development Projects, Organization of Islands Office, Information Systems, Communication & Training. The non-profit Cyclades Progress & Development Organization (ET.A.P.), supports all functions and activities of the Chamber and further undertakes development projects for the benefit of the business community in the 24 Cyclades islands.

As a staunch ally of the Cycladic entrepreneur, the Chamber of Cyclades is a constant force, exerting its institutional role in crucial issues for insularity. The Chamber provides members administrative service with consistency, efficiency and is a trusted source of business information, while providing education / training and advisory services.

At the same time, it utilizes the latest technology and advanced digital communications between the islands, and has the most comprehensive business and tourist portal of the Cyclades. The website/ portal offers members innovative online services —adapted to the specificities and the needs of local businesses— and also provides visitors a complete Cyclades travel resource.

Food & Beverage Industry. Especially renowned are the award winning wines and the tasty cheeses. Refer to the Special Section on Greek Wine Production by EDOAO. The “Aegean Cuisine” initiative aims at promoting locally produced products and Aegean cuisine in order to strengthen oeno-gastronomic tourism in the area. In the Building and Construction Industry, the Cyclades are well known for their unique marbles.
